The QIA Pipe Band has undergone some significant changes over a number of years. The current leadership and resulting direction has helped the band to develop a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere where the players can enjoy and improve their piping and drumming.

Practice sessions have returned to the Irish Club in the city with practice night, at present, occurring each Wednesday. Most Friday nights you'll also find members of the band performing impromptu jam sessions at the Irish Club along with associated raffle ticket selling.

I'd also like the thank The Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund for providing $5000 to The Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band  for the purchase of 14 McCallum Blackwood Chanters. "
