This highland gathering is held annually over two days at Easter in the northern New South Wales town of MacLean that is steeped in Scottish history in Australia. It focuses on providing opportunities for pipe bands, solo pipers, drummers, dancers, sportsmen and sportswomen to participate in their chosen Scottish cultural heritage. QIAPB has a long history of attending and participating in this highland gathering with solo pipers and drummers competing on Good Friday, our whole band participating in the street parade through the main street on Saturday morning and the massed bands later in the afternoon. Our competition band competes in their grade during the day and we get to enjoy seeing the other pipe bands competing in their respective grade throughout the Saturday.
